
🍞 Cast Iron Skillet Dinner Rolls
Ingredients
- 3½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
- 2¼ tsp (7 g) active dry yeast
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup warm water
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
For Brushing
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add egg, melted butter, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour and knead until soft and elastic (8–10 minutes).
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
- Punch down dough and divide into 12–15 balls.
- Grease a cast iron skillet and arrange rolls evenly inside.
- Cover and let rise 30–40 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter and serve warm.
