🔥 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the chicken:
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels (this helps it crisp up). Rub with olive oil and season all over with salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
2️⃣ Oven-Baked Method:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the chicken pieces on a foil-lined baking sheet or roasting pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, then brush generously with BBQ sauce.
- Flip the chicken, brush the other side with more sauce, and bake another 15–20 minutes, until cooked through and sticky.
- For a smoky finish, broil for 2–3 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
3️⃣ Grill Method:
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Grill chicken for 20–25 minutes, turning every few minutes.
- During the last 10 minutes, brush with BBQ sauce and continue grilling until the sauce is caramelized and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
4️⃣ Slow Cooker Option:
- Add seasoned chicken and BBQ sauce to the slow cooker.
- Cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes to thicken and caramelize the sauce.
