Instructions
1. Prep the Potatoes
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and peel (optional) the potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized fries or wedges.
- Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch—this helps them crisp up.
- Drain and pat dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
2. Season the Fries
- In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
3. Bake the Fries
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
4. Add Parmesan
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the hot fries immediately after baking. Toss lightly to coat.
5. Garnish and Serve
- Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce (ketchup, aioli, or ranch).
Tips:
- For extra crispiness, leave a little space between the fries on the baking sheet so they aren’t crowded.
- You can use sweet potatoes for a slightly sweeter twist, though baking time may vary.
- Garlic can burn easily, so make sure to mince it finely or toss it with the fries early in the baking process to avoid burning.
If you want, I can also give an Air Fryer version that’s even crispier and faster, with the same garlic-Parmesan flavor.
Do you want me to provide that version too?
