Instructions:
- Prep the sandwiches
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place 4 slices butter-side down on a cutting board.
- Add cheese on top, then cover with the other bread slice (butter-side up).
- Grill the sandwiches
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Cook the sandwiches until golden and melty inside, about 2–3 minutes per side.
- Let cool slightly, then cut each sandwich into 3 “fingers” (long strips).
- Wrap with bacon
- Take one finger and wrap it tightly with a slice of bacon (you may need 2 slices depending on length).
- Secure ends with a toothpick if needed.
- Cook the bacon
- Option A: Oven → Place wrapped fingers on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes, until bacon is crisp.
- Option B: Skillet → Pan-fry on medium heat, turning, until bacon is fully cooked and crispy.
- Serve
- Let cool slightly before serving.
- Dip into marinara, ranch, or ketchup for the ultimate indulgence. 😋
👉 These can be made ahead up to the grilling step—then just wrap in bacon and bake before serving.
