Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed saltine crackers (or breadcrumbs)

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Gravy

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

For Baking Dish

  • 2 cups sliced potatoes or cooked egg noodles (optional, traditional variation)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, crackers, onion, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape into oval hamburger steaks and arrange in the baking dish.
