Instructions
- Cook the Filling
- In a skillet, heat olive oil.
- Sauté onions and peppers until soft, about 6–7 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Push veggies aside, add steak, and cook until just browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Assemble the Roll-Up
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle.
- Layer with provolone cheese slices.
- Spread steak and veggie mixture evenly over the cheese.
- Starting from the long side, roll dough up tightly into a log. Pinch seam and tuck ends to seal.
- Bake
- Place roll seam-side down on baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds or Italian seasoning if desired.
- Bake 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool 5 minutes, then slice into thick pinwheels.
🍴 Serving Suggestion
- Serve with warm marinara sauce or cheese sauce for dipping.
- For extra Philly vibes, drizzle with a little melted Cheez Whiz.
Would you like me to also give you a mini roll-up version (like bite-sized pinwheels for parties), or keep it as a big stromboli loaf?
