- 1 medium head Savoy cabbage (~1 ½ lbs), chopped
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled & diced
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (very Hungarian!)
- 1 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika 🌶️
- 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
For thickening (optional, but classic):
- 2 tbsp flour
- ½ cup sour cream
