🫓 Lángos (Hungarian Fried Bread) 🇭🇺
Ingredients (makes 6–8 lángos):
- 4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (7 g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups (360 ml) warm milk (or half water, half milk)
- 2 tbsp oil (plus more for greasing bowl)
- Neutral oil (sunflower or canola) for deep frying
Traditional Toppings:
- Garlic water (2 cloves garlic crushed into 2 tbsp water or oil)
- Sour cream
- Shredded cheese (Edam, mozzarella, or feta are common)
