Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or lard
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2–3 Hungarian wax peppers (or bell peppers), sliced
  • 3–4 ripe tomatoes, chopped (or 1 can)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sausage (kolbász), eggs, or rice
