
Hungry for Walnuts – Hungarian Walnut Torte – Don’t Lose This Recipe!
Ingredients:
For the cake:
- 6 large eggs, separated
- 150 g (3/4 cup) sugar
- 200 g (2 cups) finely ground walnuts
- 50 g (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
For the cream filling:
- 200 g (7 oz) butter, softened
- 150 g (3/4 cup) powdered sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 g (1 cup) ground walnuts
Optional decoration:
- Whole or chopped walnuts
- Chocolate shavings
- Powdered sugar
