🛒 Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter or oil
- 1½ tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp dried dill (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Sauté
- In a large pot, melt butter.
- Add onion and cook until soft.
- Add mushrooms and cook 5–7 minutes until tender.
- Season
- Stir in paprika and flour.
- Cook 1 minute (do not burn paprika).
- Simmer
- Add broth, milk, soy sauce, and dill.
- Simmer gently for 10–15 minutes.
- Finish
- Reduce heat. Stir in sour cream and lemon juice.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with crusty bread.
