Nut Roll Cookies (Walnut Filling) – Recipe Only

Ingredients – Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Ingredients – Walnut Filling:

  • 1 cup ground walnuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough.
  5. Roll dough into small rectangles.
  6. Mix walnuts, sugar, milk, and cinnamon to make filling.
  7. Spread walnut filling over rectangles and roll up tightly.
  8. Place rolls on a lined baking tray.
  9. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden.
  10. Cool completely, slice, and serve.
