Ingredients (for a 25 x 35 cm baking tray):
Cake:
- 4 large eggs
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 200 g melted butter
- 1 pack vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp rum
- Zest of half a lemon
- A pinch of salt
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 6 g baking powder
Topping:
- 100 g ground walnuts
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Batter:
- Beat eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy.
- Gradually add melted butter, rum, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt.
- Fold in flour and baking powder until smooth.
2️⃣ Bake the Cake:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Pour batter into a greased 25 x 35 cm tray.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
3️⃣ Add Topping:
- Sprinkle ground walnuts on top while still warm.
- Dust with powdered sugar once cooled.
