Hungarian Stuffed Chicken Roll with Bacon (Töltött Csirkemell)

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 8–10 slices bacon

For the filling:

  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts thin between two sheets of plastic wrap.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Lay bacon slices over each chicken breast.
  4. Mix cream cheese, onion, green pepper, garlic, and parsley.
  5. Spread the filling evenly on the chicken.
  6. Roll the chicken tightly and wrap completely with bacon.
  7. Wrap each roll in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 35–40 minutes.
  9. Unwrap and bake for another 10 minutes to brown the bacon.
