Hungarian Fried Chicken with Cheese (Sajtos Rántott Csirke)
Ingredients
- 600 g chicken breast, sliced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 150 g breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
- 150 g grated cheese (Emmental, mozzarella, or similar)
Instructions
- Season chicken slices with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Prepare three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Coat each chicken piece in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry chicken until golden brown on both sides.
- Place fried chicken on a serving plate.
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top while still hot so it melts slightly.
- Serve immediately.
