
Ingredients
For the sponge cake:
- 4 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 120 ml milk
- 120 ml oil
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 10 g baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the cocoa filling:
- 150 g ground walnuts
- 120 g sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 120 ml hot milk
For topping (optional):
- Powdered sugar or ground walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
- Whisk eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla, then mix well.
- Fold in flour mixed with baking powder.
- Pour half of the batter into a lined baking pan.
- Mix walnuts, sugar, cocoa, and hot milk to make the filling.
- Spread the filling evenly over the batter.
- Cover with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool completely, then slice and dust with powdered sugar or walnuts.
