Ingredients
Pastry
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 200 g unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder

Filling
- 1 cup apricot jam
- 1½ cups ground walnuts
- 2–3 tbsp sugar
Topping
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Prepare Pastry
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add egg and knead into dough. Divide in half and chill 30 minutes.
- Assemble Layers
- Roll out half the dough and place in a greased baking pan.
- Spread apricot jam evenly, then sprinkle ground walnuts mixed with sugar.
- Roll out remaining dough and place on top, sealing edges.
- Bake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake 30–35 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
- Chocolate Glaze
- Melt chocolate and butter together. Spread over cooled pastry.
- Let set before slicing into squares.
