🛒 Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock, or sole)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of ½ lemon (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Season the fish
    • Pat fillets dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Pan-sear
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add fish and cook 3–4 minutes per side until golden and flaky.
    • Remove fish to a plate.
  3. Make lemon butter sauce
    • In the same pan, melt butter.
    • Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds (do not brown).
    • Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  4. Finish
    • Return fish to pan, spoon sauce over fillets.
    • Simmer 1–2 minutes.
  5. Serve
    • Sprinkle with parsley and extra lemon slices.
