🇭🇺🥐 Hungarian Kiffles (Kifli / Kolache Cookies)

⭐ YIELD:

Makes about 60–80 cookies, depending on size


🟡 DOUGH:

  • 2 cups flour (240 g)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold, cubed (225 g)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cold (225 g)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

🟤 TRADITIONAL FILLINGS:

🔹 Walnut Filling:

  • 2 cups ground walnuts
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼–½ cup milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • Pinch cinnamon (optional)

Mix to a spreadable paste (not runny).
