🧾 Ingredients:
For the Sponge Layers (6 thin layers):
- 6 large eggs (separated)
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For the Chocolate Buttercream:
- 1 ½ cups (340 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 8 oz (225 g) semisweet or dark chocolate (melted & cooled)
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
For the Caramel Topping:
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
