  • 1 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp lard or oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
  • 2 cups sauerkraut (rinsed and drained slightly)
