Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in well-salted water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In the same pot or a pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté 30–40 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).
  4. Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water.
  5. Toss in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Stir until creamy and glossy.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
