- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

- Layer the onions in the baking dish evenly (overlap is fine).
- Pour melted butter over the onions.
Season with salt, garlic powder, and pepper. - Top with cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan evenly over the onions. Add a dash of paprika or herbs if desired.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until onions are tender and the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbly.

- Vidalia onions work best for their natural sweetness, but any sweet onion will do.
