👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
- Set to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prepare Chicken:
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
3. Brown the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken thighs, skin-side down first, for 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
4. Make the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
- Remove excess fat, leaving about 1 tbsp in the pan.
- Add butter, then garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds.
5. Deglaze & Cream:
- Pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, and mustard.
- Bring to a gentle simmer. (Add cornstarch slurry now if you want it thicker.)
6. Assemble:
- Return chicken to the pan. Spoon some sauce over each piece.
- Sprinkle the top generously with cheese and crispy bacon bits.
7. Bake:
- Transfer to oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden.
8. Garnish & Serve:
- Sprinkle with parsley or chives and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or with crusty bread!
Let me know if you want a low-carb version or if you’d prefer it with boneless chicken breasts instead!
