🥬 Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage Rolls (Töltött Káposzta)


Instructions:

  1. Boil cabbage leaves 2–3 minutes until soft; trim thick stems.
  2. Mix meat, rice, onion, garlic, egg, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place filling in each leaf and roll tightly.
  4. Layer sauerkraut in a pot, add rolls, and sprinkle sausage/bacon between layers.
  5. Top with remaining sauerkraut.
  6. Mix tomato paste, paprika, and broth; pour over. Add bay leaf.
  7. Cover and simmer on low for 1.5–2 hours.

Serve hot with sour cream.
