🥬 Hungarian Haluski (Káposztás Tészta) – Cabbage and Noodles


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook the noodles in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or pot, heat the butter and oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the onions and sauté until soft and golden.
  4. Stir in the cabbage. Season with salt and pepper, then cover and cook until soft and lightly browned (15–20 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  5. When the cabbage is tender and caramelized, add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for a few more minutes until heated through.
  6. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with a pinch of Hungarian paprika if desired.

🍽️ Tip:

For a heartier version, add bacon or serve it with a side of sour cream or a fried egg.
