
🥔 Layered Potatoes (Rakott Krumpli)
Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 4–5 eggs
- 300–400 g Hungarian sausage (kolbász), sliced
- 2 cups sour cream
- Salt
- Butter or oil for greasing
- Optional: paprika or a little milk/cream to thin sour cream
Instructions
- Boil potatoes in their skins until tender. Cool, peel, and slice.
- Hard-boil eggs, peel, and slice.
- Grease a baking dish.
- Layer sliced potatoes, season lightly with salt.
- Add a layer of eggs, then sausage slices.
- Spread some sour cream over the layer.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with sour cream on top.
- Dot with butter if desired.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes, until hot and lightly golden.
- Rest 10 minutes before serving.
