1. Preheat & Prep:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13″ baking pan.
2. Cream Butter & Sugar:
- Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Stir in vanilla and sour cream until smooth.
3. Add Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add to the wet mixture and mix just until combined.
4. Assemble Cake:
- Spread batter evenly into the pan.
- Arrange plum halves cut-side up on top, pressing them gently into the batter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture all over the top.
5. Bake:
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before slicing.
