🍫 Hungarian Walnut & Chocolate Cake – Rich, Creamy & Irresistible

This indulgent cake combines moist walnut sponge with silky chocolate cream — a treat perfect for special occasions or whenever you crave something truly delicious! 😍


Ingredients (approx. 12 slices)

Sponge:

  • 150 g ground walnuts
  • 150 g all-purpose flour
  • 300 g sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • 100 ml water
  • ½ pack baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Cream:

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g milk chocolate
  • 500 ml heavy cream
  • 2 packs whipping cream stabilizer
  • A handful of raisins

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the Sponge:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy.
  • Add water, flour, ground walnuts, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour into a greased baking pan and bake 25–30 minutes. Let cool.

2️⃣ Prepare the Cream:

  • Melt dark and milk chocolate over a water bath.
  • Whip the cream with stabilizer until firm.
  • Gently fold melted chocolate and raisins into the whipped cream.

3️⃣ Assemble the Cake:

  • Slice the sponge in half horizontally.
  • Spread half of the chocolate cream on the bottom layer.
  • Place the top sponge layer and cover with remaining cream.
  • Decorate as desired.

4️⃣ Serve:

  • Chill for 1–2 hours for best results.
  • Slice and enjoy with coffee or tea!
