🍫 Hungarian Chocolate Layered Cake – Quick & Irresistible!

This classic Hungarian dessert is soft, creamy, and perfectly chocolatey. It’s surprisingly easy to make and loved by everyone!


Ingredients

Cake:

  • 6 eggs
  • 300 ml sugar (25 dkg)
  • 400 ml flour (20 dkg)
  • ½ packet baking powder
  • 7 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

Cream:

  • 1 packet vanilla pudding powder
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 500 ml milk
  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g sugar

Glaze:

  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 g butter

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Cake:

  • Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add oil, then fold in flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
  • Pour into a greased or lined baking pan.
  • Bake at 180°C / 350°F for about 25–30 minutes until done.
  • Let cool completely.

2️⃣ Prepare the Cream:

  • Cook the vanilla pudding with milk and sugar, following package instructions.
  • Let it cool slightly, then beat in butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread over the cooled cake.

3️⃣ Make the Glaze:

  • Combine sugar, water, cocoa, and butter in a small pan.
  • Heat gently until smooth and glossy.
  • Pour over the cake evenly.

4️⃣ Chill & Serve:

  • Chill for at least 1–2 hours before slicing.
