
This classic Hungarian dessert is soft, creamy, and perfectly chocolatey. It’s surprisingly easy to make and loved by everyone!
Ingredients
Cake:
- 6 eggs
- 300 ml sugar (25 dkg)
- 400 ml flour (20 dkg)
- ½ packet baking powder
- 7 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
Cream:
- 1 packet vanilla pudding powder
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 500 ml milk
- 250 g butter
- 200 g sugar
Glaze:
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 50 g butter
Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Cake:
- Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add oil, then fold in flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
- Pour into a greased or lined baking pan.
- Bake at 180°C / 350°F for about 25–30 minutes until done.
- Let cool completely.
2️⃣ Prepare the Cream:
- Cook the vanilla pudding with milk and sugar, following package instructions.
- Let it cool slightly, then beat in butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Spread over the cooled cake.
3️⃣ Make the Glaze:
- Combine sugar, water, cocoa, and butter in a small pan.
- Heat gently until smooth and glossy.
- Pour over the cake evenly.
4️⃣ Chill & Serve:
- Chill for at least 1–2 hours before slicing.
