- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Make crust batter:
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Mix in flour and salt until combined.
- Layer: Spread about two-thirds of the batter into the prepared pan.
- Add filling: Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the batter.
- Top: Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter over the filling (doesnโt need to cover completelyโit will bake into a pretty top crust).
- Bake: 35โ40 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over cooled bars.
