- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Make the cinnamon swirl: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat the white sugar and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
- Assemble the loaf:
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan.
- Layer half of the chopped apples on top.
- Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the apples.
- Repeat with remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon-sugar.
- Swirl it: Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon sugar through the batter.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
