2️⃣ Shape the Chimney Cakes
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Lightly grease rolling pins, wooden dowels, or empty cans (to shape the dough).
- Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle and cut into long strips (about 1 inch wide).
- Wrap the strips spirally around the rolling pin, overlapping slightly.
- Lightly press to seal the edges.
3️⃣ Sugar Coating & Baking
- Brush each wrapped dough with melted butter.
- Roll in sugar + cinnamon mixture for a caramelized crust.
- Place the rolling pins across a baking dish so they don’t touch the surface (to mimic the traditional fire-roasting method).
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown.
4️⃣ Final Touch
- Remove from the rolling pin while warm.
- Roll in chopped nuts, coconut, or cocoa powder if desired.
- Let cool slightly & enjoy! 😋
