🇭🇺 Hungarian Stuffed Cabbage Rolls (Töltött Káposzta)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Boil cabbage leaves until soft (skip if using pickled leaves).
  2. In a bowl, mix meat, rice, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, egg, and oil.
  3. Place a portion of filling on each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
  4. Spread some sauerkraut on the bottom of a pot.
  5. Arrange cabbage rolls on top, then cover with remaining sauerkraut.
  6. Add tomato paste, paprika, bay leaf, and water/broth.
  7. Cover and simmer on low for 1.5–2 hours until cooked through.
