Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Âľ cup (170 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • Âľ cup (150 g) sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (120 ml) sour cream (or plain yogurt)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the filling:

  • 1 ½ – 2 lbs (700–900 g) ripe plums, halved and pitted
  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar (adjust depending on sweetness of plums)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, if plums are very juicy)

For topping (optional):

  • Powdered sugar for dusting
