Rest & slice:
Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. You’ll see the beautiful egg center in each slice!🛒 Ingredients:

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Prepare the mixture:
In a large bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, garlic, 1 raw egg, soaked bread (or breadcrumbs), paprika, salt, pepper, mustard, and marjoram. Mix well until fully combined.

Shape the loaf:
On a baking tray lined with parchment paper, flatten the meat mixture into a rectangle.

Add the eggs:
Place the peeled hard-boiled eggs in a line down the center.

Form the loaf:
Carefully fold the meat around the eggs, shaping it into a loaf and sealing the edges.

Bake:
Drizzle or brush with oil, then bake for about 50–60 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

  • 500 g (1 lb) ground pork (or pork & beef mix)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg (for the mixture)
  • 2–3 hard-boiled eggs (for the center)
  • 2 slices bread (soaked in milk, then squeezed) or ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (Hungarian sweet paprika preferred)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram (optional but traditional)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
