Ingredients (for 6–8 pieces):
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (7 g) instant yeast (or 25 g fresh yeast)
- 1 ½ cups warm milk (or water)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for the dough)
- Oil (for deep frying)
Traditional Toppings:
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced or grated
- 2–3 tbsp water (to mix with garlic for brushing)
- Sour cream
- Grated cheese (Edam, Emmental, or mozzarella)
