
Instructions
1. Slice the cucumbers
Peel the cucumbers if desired and slice them very thin using a knife or mandoline.
2. Salt the cucumbers
Sprinkle with salt and let them sit for 10 minutes. This helps release excess water.
3. Prepare the dressing
In a bowl, mix vinegar, sugar, garlic, pepper, water, and dill.
4. Combine
Gently squeeze excess liquid from the cucumbers and add them to the dressing. Add sliced onion if using.
5. Creamy option
For a richer salad, stir in sour cream.
6. Chill and serve
Let the salad chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes before serving.
