A soft cake base topped with creamy cottage cheese filling and juicy peaches — a beautiful homemade classic from Hungary. Light, fruity, and perfect with coffee or tea 🇭🇺

🥮 Base
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (100 g) sugar
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup (80 ml) oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp milk
🧀 Cottage Cheese Filling
- 2 cups (500 g) farmer’s cheese (túró) or well-drained ricotta
- ½ cup (100 g) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp semolina (or cornstarch)
🍑 Fruit
- 1 cup diced peaches (fresh or canned, drained well)

- Powdered sugar for dusting
👩🍳 Directions
1️⃣ Prepare the Base
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Beat eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add oil and milk; mix well.
- Combine flour and baking powder, then gently fold into the mixture.
- Spread evenly into a lined 9×9 or 9×13 inch baking pan.
2️⃣ Prepare the Filling
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest, and semolina until smooth.
- Gently fold in diced peaches.
3️⃣ Assemble
Pour the cottage cheese mixture evenly over the base and smooth the top.
4️⃣ Bake
Bake 35–45 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and the center is set.
5️⃣ Cool & Finish
Let cool completely before slicing.
Dust generously with powdered sugar.
