ππΊ Hungarian Beigli β Walnut & Poppy Seed Roll π

Servings: Makes 2 long rolls β about 12β16 slices each
π Dough Ingredients:
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour πΎ
- Β½ tsp salt π§
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar π¬
- 1 packet (7g) instant dry yeast
- 1 stick + 2 tbsp (150g) unsalted butter, cold & cubed π§
- β cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt) π₯
- 1 egg yolk π₯
- Β½ cup milk (lukewarm) π₯
π° Walnut Filling (DiΓ³s):
- 1ΒΌ cups ground walnuts
- Β½ cup sugar
- β cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon π
- Optional: a handful of raisins soaked in rum or water π
π Poppy Seed Filling (MΓ‘kos):
- 1ΒΌ cups ground poppy seeds
- Β½ cup sugar
- β cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 orange π
- Optional: chopped dried fruits (apricots, raisins)
